While some authenticity buffs may scoff at the idea of electronic keyboard substitutes, the more practical-minded early music enthusiast will find these instruments to be a most valuable and cost-effective resource for their performance needs.
Keyboard players on the move will be interested in the new fully-featured KM-88s and KM-88pd Keyman Portable Digital Pianos listed below. These have no built-in amplifiers and speakers, but may be plugged into a portable or home stereo system or used with the available powered speakers. For home use, we have found that the inexpensive HP-Model 11 digital piano, together with the even less-expensive Models HP-9 and HP-10, are the best choices. These instruments have built-in amps and speakers, are appreciably heavier, and not intended to be moved frequently.
