The task of organizing and preserving our past history is ably accomplished by Ivy, our in-house historian and archivist of the ASW aviary. She frequently receives requests for back issues of our customer newsmagazine Chrestologia, since many of the articles are of continuing interest to early music performers. Although most earlier issues are out of print, we do have a limited supply of some of our more recent issues available for sale. We are able to supply these back issues at a price of $2.50 each plus shipping at cost. Listed below are the contents of all issues currently still available. For those customers wondering why we are no longer able to publish Chrestologia as we did for the twenty-three years prior to its last issue in October of 1998, we offer you the article "Chrestologia To Cease Publication - The Whys and Wherefores" which appeared in that final issue.
At the request of many of our customers, we are making available selected editorials and articles from some Chrestologia back issues which are no longer available. The conversion of material from print format to Internet-suitable html format is a long and tedious process, but we will try to get at least some of those articles reworked as time permits. Underlined hypertext links to these articles are indicated below.
